Big Duck Holiday Lighting Postponed Due To Inclement Weather
The iconic Big Duck will be decked out in his holiday wreath and illuminated for the season, a day later than planned.

FLANDERS, NY — A beloved annual tradition was postponed due to weather Wednesday night: The annual Holiday Lighting of the Big Duck will now take place on Thursday, according to Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman.
The event takes place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Big Duck, located at 1012 New York State Route 24 in Flanders.
Included in the festivities are a visit from Quackerjack, the Long Island Ducks' baseball team mascot, duck carols led by students from the Riverhead Middle School show choir, refreshments and the ever-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus by fire truck.
