Blankets Of Love, Comfort Collected In Memory Of Beloved Parents
"Our parents personified generosity, and attention to the 'grace notes' of life; small things that can change one's entire experience."

SAG HARBOR, NY — Sometimes, just a warm blanket can conjure up the warmth of a parent's love and comfort.
A new GoFundMe, "Let Us Bring Comfort," created by Daisy Dohanos and Nina Landi of Sag Harbor, aims to do just that, in memory of their beloved mother and father.
"Our parents personified generosity, and attention to the 'grace notes' of life — small things that can change one's entire experience," they wrote.

As their family approaches its first holiday season without the loving presence of their parents, they have decided to honor their precious memory by touching the lives of others with kindness.
"Nina and I have been impacted by many losses this year —including the passing of a dearly beloved friend, just this week — another individual in our community served by hospice," the page reads.

The goal of the GoFundMe is to raise $3,000 during the month of October, in order to purchase cozy blankets for every person under the care of East End Hospice, as well as blankets for patients in hospice care at St. Francis Hospital's The Heart Center, "an institution that sustained our mother's life over a 13-year period. Please consider making a donation of any amount, in honor of someone you love, someone you have lost, or someone you have never met. Together, we can provide comfort."
Their family will shop for blankets on a continual basis, with delivery planned for November.
"We hope to raise the funds quickly, in order to stock up before the holiday-emblazoned blankets are on the shelves. Thank you, with love," the page said.
