Brilliant New Book for Pre K-K Children; OLIVER The Dog Who Loves to Sing & His Cool Jungle Band

There are so many choices to make about what to expose pre K children to in order to enhance the development of their young forming minds. When I was a parent, I wanted my girls to be exposed to as many different forms of genius in order to stimulate their senses and brain. Every young child is the future of the planet.

One new choice to examine is Robin K. Naylor's new CD/Book, OLIVER THE DOG WHO LOVES TO SING & HIS COOL JUNGLE BAND. What sets this CD/Illustrated Book Combo apart is the creator Robin K. Naylor.

Robin’s musical genre is an eclectic combination of her extensive classical training highlighted with a jazz/pop influence from her wonderful experience at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. She teaches forty students weekly at her Bucks County, PA studio "Naylor Piano Studio." Six of her students won the "Delaware Valley Orchestra Young Composer’s Contest." Robin was also the jazz piano teacher at George School in Newtown, PA.

Robin’s life-long passion for animals and her love of children is the motivation and inspiration behind "OLIVER THE DOG WHO LOVES TO SING & HIS COOL JUNGLE BAND." She created this innovative, award winning musical program, (Pre-K -K) to teach young children music in a fun, entertaining and informative way. Robin has given performances at the Philadelphia Children's Zoo with her program.

Robin's lyrics are carefully constructed to promote early speech and reading skills( rhyming etc.)and phonemic awareness.Phonemic awareness is the greatest indicator of reading success! Her OLIVER program is being used in classrooms.

Through the beautiful illustrated pages the OLIVER characters dance on-stage to the music to the delight of the audience. The audience is encouraged to join in!

Robin received the "Outstanding Educator Award by the Bucks County Association for the Education of Young Children" for this program. To create the illustration of her vision and Robin chose John S. Gurney, a renowned children's illustrator. John brings OLIVER & HIS COOL JUNGLE BAND characters to life with his unique, colorful, and captivating original illustrations. Children have responded enthusiastically to the vibrant, rich colors and expressive faces! John has illustrated more than 130 books for children, including all the titles of the Bailey School Kids series, the A-Z Mysteries series and The Calendar Mysteries. He lives in Brattleboro, Vermont.
