The host committee includes Keith and Ann Barish, Peter and Jamee Gregory, Simone and David Levinson, and Richard and Marcia Mishaan. 
Hailed by the critics as one of the year's most pertinent films, THE LAST SPY traces the clandestine journey of Peter Sichel in a no-holds-barred account: from Jewish refugee to OSS agent and CIA chief in Berlin, Washington, and Hong Kong. Drawing on first-hand experience, his candid insights into foreign intervention and great-power rivalry offer timely context for understanding today’s complex geopolitical landscape amid escalating international tensions and global instability.
A sharp reflection on power, loyalty, and truth, this is a rare, intimate portrait of a spy who never lost his humanity—and who now insists on having the last word with the CIA.

The screening will be followed by a Q&amp;A with Katharina Otto-Bernstein, a two-time Emmy-nominated filmmaker whose producing credits include Joyland, Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire, A Sad and Beautiful World, and Paul Schrader’s Oh, Canada. Her acclaimed documentaries include HBO’s Absolute Wilson, Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures, and The Price of Everything, with her work screening at major festivals including Sundance, Berlin, Cannes, Toronto, and Venice.
The Q&amp;A will be moderated by Jeffrey Sharp, an acclaimed film and television producer and Executive Director of The Gotham Film &amp; Media Institute, host of the Gotham Awards. Sharp’s producing credits include Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning and nominated films Boys Don’t Cry, You Can Count on Me, Nicholas Nickleby, and Proof.

The 44th Annual WICC Surfside Hotel <a href="https://www.bluefishtournament.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Greatest Bluefish Tournament on Earth</a> returns to Long Island Sound on Saturday, August 29, with fishing officially beginning at 12:01 a.m. Anglers from New York and Connecticut will compete for bragging rights—and a $25,000 grand prize awarded to the tournament's largest bluefish.
The weekend-long tournament features more than $40,000 in total cash prizes, including:
<ul><li>1st Place: $25,000</li><li>2nd Place: $7,500</li><li>3rd Place: $2,500</li><li>Smaller cash prizes awarded through 20th Place</li><li>Port Prizes awarded for the heaviest bluefish weighed at each official Connecticut and New York weigh station (see below for complete list of weigh stations)</li></ul>
Young anglers, 17 and under, will also have the chance to win big. The tournament will award a $1,000 cash prize to the largest bluefish caught by a youth angler. Second and third place youth winners will receive $100 gift cards.

The Jay Heritage Center in Rye, New York will celebrate America at 250 with a toast to Jay Medal honorees Pulitzer Prize-winning author Annette Gordon-Reed, the Carl M. Loeb University Professor at Harvard University and award-winning Lincoln historian Harold Holzer.
The Jay Medal for Service was created in 2012 to recognize individuals who demonstrate a selfless spirit of commitment to and engagement with their community mirroring the multifaceted contributions of John Jay and his descendants. These honorees have demonstrated through their life's work that our shared narratives as a country, complicated as they are, can be better illuminated through the highest caliber of ongoing scholarship and advocacy. Honorees are selected for their excellence in the fields of American history, environmental stewardship, social justice or civic engagement.
Joining the celebration will be Chief Judge of the State of New York and the New York Court of Appeals, Honorable Rowan D. Wilson and historian and philanthropist Elihu Rose who will present the awards at JHC's annual Soirée. Special guests will include David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman, and Beverly Gage.
