From the adoration of a loved one or the wonder felt before nature, to the hardship of labor and the devastation of war, photographs are imprinted by human experience.
Featuring approximately 100 photographs by over 50 artists, this exhibition explores the concept of presence through tender portraits, awe-inspiring landscapes, candid photojournalism, and spontaneous cityscapes. Drawn entirely from the collection of photographer and humanitarian Judy Glickman Lauder, Presence creates a dialogue among an array of photographs&nbsp;by some&nbsp;of the most beloved and influential practitioners of the 20th century, including Diane Arbus, Richard Avedon, Imogen Cunningham, Danny Lyon, Gordon Parks, James Van Der Zee, and more.
Presence: The Photography Collection of Judy Glickman Lauder&nbsp;is co-organized by the American Federation of Arts and Portland Museum of Art, Maine,&nbsp;and&nbsp;curated by Anjuli Lebowitz, PhD, Judy Glickman Lauder Curator of Photography, Portland Museum of Art, Maine. About the Exhibition The Parrish Art Museum and The FLAG Art Foundation present UNTIL THE MOON COMES OVER THE MOUNTAIN, a two-part exhibition that considers material and conceptual approaches to engaging with landscape. While thematically and curatorially related, each exhibition addresses a variety of formal, personal, and political concerns that play out across their respective spaces in Manhattan and Long Island’s East End.
UNTIL THE MOON COMES OVER THE MOUNTAIN at the Parrish focuses on formal explorations rooted in natural materials. The exhibition features work by Dan Colen, N. Dash, Andy Goldsworthy, Sonya Kelliher-Combs, Wolfgang Laib, Richard Long, Delcy Morelos, Jonathan Sánchez Noa, Martin Puryear, Eric-Paul Riege, Christine Howard Sandoval, Michelle Stuart, Martha Tuttle, Meg Webster, and Lawrence Weiner.
UNTIL THE MOON COMES OVER THE MOUNTAIN is co-curated by Scout Hutchinson, The FLAG Art Foundation Associate Curator of Contemporary Art at the Parrish Art Museum, and Jonathan Rider, FLAG’s Director, with Caroline Cassidy, FLAG’s Deputy Director.

The Seafood Festival started over 10 years ago as a joint fundraiser to support both groups’ charitable interests here on the east end.
This year, over 14 different restaurants and vendors will be featuring some of their seaside favorite dishes…

Our instructors Val &amp; Neda make learning to dance fun, social and confidence-building. Kids will learn Ballroom and Latin dances while developing coordination, musicality, posture and most importantly having fun!
No previous dance experience is needed, and both boys and girls are very welcome.

This fall, The Studio by Hill Street in Southampton is welcoming children and teens ages 4–18 to a new semester of Ballroom &amp; Latin dance classes, beginning Tuesday, September 15.
Designed for complete beginners as well as young dancers who want to develop their skills, our classes combine great music, movement and fun with the opportunity to build confidence, coordination, posture, rhythm and social skills.
Children learn with our award-winning instructors Val &amp; Neda in an encouraging environment where the emphasis is on learning, progressing and genuinely enjoying dancing.
Classes are divided by age so every child can learn at the right level:

The Jay Heritage Center in Rye, New York will celebrate America at 250 with a toast to Jay Medal honorees Pulitzer Prize-winning author Annette Gordon-Reed, the Carl M. Loeb University Professor at Harvard University and award-winning Lincoln historian Harold Holzer.
The Jay Medal for Service was created in 2012 to recognize individuals who demonstrate a selfless spirit of commitment to and engagement with their community mirroring the multifaceted contributions of John Jay and his descendants. These honorees have demonstrated through their life's work that our shared narratives as a country, complicated as they are, can be better illuminated through the highest caliber of ongoing scholarship and advocacy. Honorees are selected for their excellence in the fields of American history, environmental stewardship, social justice or civic engagement.
Joining the celebration will be Chief Judge of the State of New York and the New York Court of Appeals, Honorable Rowan D. Wilson and historian and philanthropist Elihu Rose who will present the awards at JHC's annual Soirée. Special guests will include David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman, and Beverly Gage.

The Jay Medal Soirée will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Jay Estate from 5:30-9:30pm. Cocktails, dinner, award ceremony and dancing. Cocktail Attire.
