Car Catches Fire After Intoxicated Driver Crashes Into Tree: Police
The crash took place in Bridgehampton early Sunday, police say.
BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY — A Sag Harbor man was arrested early Sunday and charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash into a tree caused his vehicle to catch fire, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, at 1:10 a.m., a report came in about a car fire at Old Sag Harbor Road and Millstone Road in Bridgehampton.
Colin Taylor, 23, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI, police said.

The Bridgehampton Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire; no injuries were reported, police said.
Taylor was taken to Southampton Town police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
