Car Fully Engulfed By Flames In Water Mill

WATER MILL, NY — A car was fully engulfed in flames in Water Mill Tuesday, officials said.

The fire broke out at 12:23 p.m. on Fowler Street, according to Chris Brenner, public information officer for the Southampton Fire Department. Crews arrived quickly and were able to extinguish the blaze within 5 minutes, he said.

No injuries were reported; 2nd Assistant Chief Richard Fowler was in charge of the scene, Brenner said.

The Southampton Town fire marshal was at the scene to investigate the cause of the blaze.
