Cell Phone Store Employee Resold $26K Worth Of Merchandise: Cops

He's facing felony charges, police say.

FLANDERS, NY — A Flanders man who worked in a cell phone store is charged with purchasing more than $26,000 worth of merchandise and reselling it for personal gain, police said.

According to Southampton Village Police, Carl Nieves Jr., 23, was arrested on Jan. 29 at 4:25 p.m. in Flanders and charged with third degree grand larceny and computer trespass, both felonies.

Nieves, a one time employee at a Cellular Retailer is alleged to have unlawfully used his privileges to purchase the merchandise, police said.

He was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
