Crash On County Road 39 Slows Traffic In Hamptons: Police

A rescue unit responded to deal with fluids in the roadway, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A crash in Southampton Thursday morning slowed traffic on County Road 39, fire officials said.

According to Southampton Fire Department Public Information Officer Chris Brenner, the crash took place at the Tuckahoe Lane and County Road 39 at 11:44 a.m. The Southampton Fire Department was dispatched and fire police were utilized to assist with traffic, officials said.

A rescue unit also responded to attend to fluids in the roadway, Brenner said.

Southampton Volunteer Ambulance was requested to examine a person due to air bag deployment, Brenner said.

Southampton Town Fire Department Assistant Chief Polis Walker was in charge at the scene.

Traffic will be slow moving until the vehicles are cleared from the roadway, Brenner said.
