Crisis Negotiation Team, Drone Respond to Intruder In LI Home: Police
A surveillance robot was also used to locate the woman, police say.

SAG HARBOR, NY — A female intruder was arrested after entering a Noyac home Sunday, triggering an orchestrated police response, authorities said.
According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place at about 3:25 p.m., when a 911 call came in from a neighbor and an area resident about an unknown adult female who entered and remained inside the Hampton Road home.
After about three hours, a woman, 63, formerly from Hampton Bays, who is currently without a known address, was arrested, police said.

Following the 911 call, Southampton Town police patrol officers responded to the residence and
conducted an investigation, determining that the adult woman was in the home and that she ran up the stairs from the first floor to the second floor, police said.
A police perimeter was set up around the house and the Southampton Town police crisis negotiations team was notified and responded, along with the Southampton Town Police Department's detective division, police said.

Multiple verbal attempts were made commanding the female to exit the home, to which there was no reply, police said.
Southampton Town police deployed an aerial reconnaissance drone over the house and also deployed a surveillance robot into the interior of the house in an attempt to locate the woman, police said.

At around 6:20 p.m., patrol officers made entry into the home and arrested the woman in one of the upstairs bedrooms; she was escorted from the residence without further incident, police said.
She was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, police said.
The woman did not sustain any injuries and was transported to Southampton Town police headquarters for arrest processing; she was later released on a desk appearance ticket to appear at Southampton Town Justice Court at a later date, police said.
