Dense Fog Expected To Blanket Long Island Tuesday Night Into Wednesday Morning

LONG ISLAND, NY — A dense fog advisory is in effect across Long Island from 10 p.m. Monday evening until 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Visibility is expected to be one quarter mile or less due to the dense fog, the NWS said; low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

"If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you," the NWS said.
