Driver Charged After 3-Way Flanders Crash: Police
He was driving in a "reckless manner," police say.
FLANDERS, NY — A driver was arrested and charged after a three-way Flanders crash Thursday afternoon, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, at 4:34 p.m., Jose SanchezEscobar, 18, of Flanders, was driving in a "reckless" manner on Country Road 105 when he caused the crash. SanchezEscobar was arrested and charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor, reckless driving, a misdemeanor, and numerous traffic infractions, police said.
SanchezEscobar was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and released on an appearance ticket to return to Southampton Justice Court at a later date, police said.

A driver and passengers from the involved vehicles were transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
