Police ID Motorcyclist Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash
Police said they are looking for a tan 2002 GMC Envoy with passenger side damage in relation to the hit-and-run.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after a crash that killed a motorcyclist, now identified as LeRoy Quintin Ferry, 38 of East Quogue, on County Road 104 early Tuesday.
According to Southampton Town Police, several 911 calls came in about 5:45 a.m. about the crash, which took place near the intersection of Country Road 104 and Pine Street, police said.
The male motorcyclist had been driving a white 2009 Hayabusa motorcycle north on
County Road 104 when the motorcycle was involved in a collision with an SUV; the driver of the fled the scene from County Road 104, heading east on Pine Street, police said.

The identity of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending notification of family, authorities said.
Patrol officers responded to the scene along with New York State Troopers, the Riverhead Volunteer Fire Department, and the Flanders Northampton Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Southampton Town Police detectives were requested to respond to investigate the cause of the crash, police said.
