East End Returning to Normal After Blizzard
The blizzard earlier this week hit East End communities the hardest.

Things are returning to normal on Thursday in the East End, which was hit the hardest by the storm earlier this week.
The East End received the high amount of snow with Orient recording 30 inches, Southampton recording 29 inches, Mattituck recording 26.9 inches and Flanders recording 22 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
All town and village State of Emergencies have been lifted as of Thursday morning.

Travel bans in Southampton, East Hampton and Southold Towns were also lifted as of Wednesday morning.

Trains on the Montauk and Ronkonkoma line to the East End are running on time, according to the MTA website.

Southampton and Southold Town employees returned to work on Wednesday afternoon and East Hampton Town employees returned to work returned to work Thursday for regular scheduled work hours.
In Greenport, Front Street was blocked Wednesday afternoon while crews used dump trucks and plows to clean off the snowdrifts which reached over 10 feet, according to Newsday.
