Elementary School Garden Club Visits Business For Holiday Fun
Nothing captures the spirit of the holidays more than the happy smiles of children.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY —The Southampton Elementary School Garden Club paid a visit to Fowler’s Garden Center on Dec. 6, making forever memories.
During the trip, the third- and fourth-graders made holiday wreaths, learned about Christmas trees and visited Santa’s Workshop, the district said.
The visit culminated the club’s activities since the start of the school year — the students, led by teacher Colleen Henke, planted bulbs around the school, planted and harvested herbs, and made pumpkin centerpieces, honing their green thumbs and embracing lifelong lessons.
