Cosponsored by Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt (FLPG) & the South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo).
On this 1½-hour hike, led by FLPG Secretary Jean Dodds, you’ll have an opportunity to learn about the value of our native grassland habitat, an area all too rare here on the East End. You’ll walk from the meadow
behind SoFo to the grasslands of Poxabogue County Park; two areas where continuing efforts are being made to remove non-native, invasive plants & reestablish healthy populations of natives.
