DESCRIPTION: Discussion on how our historic homes exemplified by Halsey House, are “green” according to today’s standard of design and construction. We will “sleuth” our way through the subject building looking at materials, construction, technology, citing and culture in order to see how integrated design , cultural and technological evolution worked to produce an indigenous iconic building, and how houses continue to evolve, reflecting the ever – changing demands of time and place.
