This year’s Kentucky Derby is on Sat. May 5th. But you can wager the day before the big race by visiting a nearby Suffolk OTB branch or a Qwik Bet located in a neighborhood pub or restaurant. Southampton Publick House is right down the street (40 Bowden Sq/283-2800). CB's Bar and Grill in Hampton Bays is another Qwik Bet option (728-7574). If you prefer a full-service branch, there's Suffolk OTB's Shirley Branch (6 Northern Blvd, Shirley).
If you are already a Suffolk OTB account holder, you can also advance wager on the Derby by Telephone (1-877-TEL-BETT/1-877-835-2388) or on the Internet (www.suffolkotb.com). Just click on 'Place Wagers' on the upper left-hand side of the home page.
