Southampton HS Student Killed in Crash in El Salvador
"Money can never replace a soul or fix a broken heart. But it's going to help my family grieve in peace, without worries."

A senior at Southampton High School was killed in a car crash on Dec. 23 in El Salvador while she was on a birthday vacation, the family of Ana Castro said.
Castro was on the way to the beach when a drunken driver plowed into the car she was riding in, according to a News 12 report. The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Ana was the sweetest girl in the world . . . the last person in this world who didn't deserve this," Jose Erik Ramirez, Ana's cousin, wrote on a GoFundMe page he created to raise money to bring the teen's body home for burial. The fundraiser has well surpassed its goal of $18,000.
