Fatal Shooting On Shinnecock Reservation, Info Sought: Police

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Sag Harbor man died after a shooting on the Shinnecock Reservation Friday, police said.

According to New York State Police, the incident took place at 9:52 p.m., when a call came in about an unresponsive man lying in the roadway at Old Point Road on the reservation.

Ali Wisdom, 43, who is not a member of the Shinnecock Nation, was found unresponsive; Wisdom was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital where he later died from his injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, and the New York State Police are asking for anyone with information to call 631-756-3300.
