Fire Breaks Out In Bridgehampton Home
The home was substantially damaged by the blaze, officials say.
BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY — A Bridgehampton home was substantially damaged by fire on Saturday night, officials said.
According to Bridgehampton Fire Department Chief Nick Hemby, a call came in at 9:43 p.m. about a fire at a home on Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike.
The first firefighter to arrive reported that the rear of the home was "fully engulfed by flames," Hemby said.

The occupants were already out of the home and the home, to the front, was also evacuated, he said.
The fire was under control within 30 minutes and no injuries were reported.

"The house sustained substantial fire damage," Hemby said. The Southampton Town Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause, he added.
About 80 firefighters in total responded. Bridgehampton was assisted by Southampton and Sag Harbor Fire Departments, as well as the Sag Harbor Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the East Hampton Ambulance Association, Hemby said.
