Hamptons Contractor Stole Deposits, Forged $46K In Checks: Cops
He stole a $2,000 deposit to fix the porch of two elderly women and never came back to do the work, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Hamptons contractor was arrested after he stole deposits from clients— and forged $46,000 in checks, police said.
George F. Natlo Jr., owner of “Perfection Home Contracting," in Hampton Bays not only stole from would-be customers, but also stole his roommate's checkbook and forged checks amounting to over $46,000, police said.
During the course of a six-month long investigation Southampton Police detectives received as many as six separate complaints about a contractor stealing deposits and payments for work never completed and sometimes never even started, police said.

In one instance, Natlo agreed to replace the front porch of two elderly woman and required a large deposit of approximately $2,000, police said.
After taking the cash from the two women, Natlo did not return to do the work, police said.

In another incident Natlo stole construction material from one person valued at over $9,000, police said.
Natlo, of Romana Drive in Hampton Bays, was charged with three counts of third degree grand larceny a felony, one count of fourth degree grand larceny, a felony, and forgery, a felony, police said.
Several additional complaints against Natlo are being investigated by the Southampton Town Police Department's detective division in coordination with the Suffolk County District Attorney'ss Office.
