Hamptons Parent-Teacher Organization Treasurer Stole $15K+: PD

The Sag Harbor woman was charged with stealing more than $15K while serving as treasurer for a Southampton parent teacher organization: PD

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Sag Harbor woman was arrested and charged Wednesday with stealing more than $15,000 while she was working as a treasurer for the Southampton Intermediate School parent-teacher organization, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Maureen O'Leary Cussen, 55, was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

She stole the PTO funds between February, 2018 and October, 2020, police said.

She was arraigned at Southampton Town Justice Court Wednesday and released on her own recognizance, police said.
