BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY — The Bridgehampton School District has been designated as a New York breastfeeding-friendly worksite.

The district was recognized with a breastfeeding-friendly worksite designation certificate by the state, school officials said. The certificate was presented by members of the community outreach department and division of adolescent medicine at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, Northwell Health at the Bridgehampton board of education’s Sept. 21 meeting, officials said.

“We are proud to take part in this important initiative and are confident in the positive outcomes it promotes for our Bridgehampton colleagues,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mary Kelly said. “This recognition further exemplifies our commitment to providing a supportive environment for breastfeeding employees.”
