Holiday Lighting Of The Windmill Coming Soon In Southampton

Who else can't wait?

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — One of the East End's most beloved holiday traditions is slated to take place soon.

Stony Brook Southampton’s lighting of the windmill will take place on Friday, Dec. 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with refreshments, music, guided windmill tours, crafts, a photo-booth sponsored by Alumni, a festive display by Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, and much more in the Stony Brook Southampton Center Cafeteria.

All are welcome to attend the free holiday event. The campus is located 39 Tuckahoe Road in Southampton.

Also, at 7:30 p.m., a lecture by Janet Nye, associate professor at the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences, will take plce on “The Future is Now: Climate Change and New York Fisheries” in the Duke Lecture Hall.
