Home Burns to the Ground in Structure Fire on Shinnecock Reservation

BREAKING: Residents of the home, including three children, escaped through a window.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A home burned to the ground during a blaze at a home on the Shinnecock Reservation early Friday morning.

According to Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley, the structure fire was reported at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Two adults and three children who were inside the home at the time of the fire escaped but lost everything, including their cars, said Vanessa Vascez-Corleone, who said the home was her brother's. He, his wife, their children, and Vascez-Corleone's daughter were all inside when the blaze swept through the house.
