"Today is a typical morning. I’m an early riser. Sleeping later than 5 a.m. is rare. So I’m blessed by Morgan’s willingness to hang out with me on the couch while I scroll through these family pictures.

When we’re away from the house, we know we can always find her on the den couch — looking out the window that faces our driveway— and waiting to see us pull into the driveway.

On a hot summer day, she knows where to seek shade.

In a winter snow, it’s often hard to see where she is in the backyard.

P.S.: Nothing pleases her more than running around the backyard with our daughter, Kate."
