LI Man, 51, Texted 11-Year-Old Asking For Sexual Contact: Police

FLANDERS, NY — A 51-year-old Riverhead man was arrested after he was caught texting an 11-year-old in Flanders for "sexual contact," police said.

Wuilyan Pirir Camey was arrested Wednesday at Southampton Town police headquarters and charged with first-degree attempted sexual abuse, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, Southampton Town police said.

He was arrested after a report on May 3 of a possible sex offense against a juvenile in Flanders and an investigation by detectives, police said.

Pirir Camey was held overnight for morning arraignment; he was subsequently released on $1,000 bail at arraignment, police said.
