LI Pickup Truck Driver Crashes Into Telephone Pole, Parked Vehicle: PD

FLANDERS, NY — The driver of a pickup truck crashed into a telephone on Flanders Road Friday afternoon, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, the crash took place at 1:31 p.m. when the driver, who was heading west on Flanders Road, left the roadway and hit the pole. After striking the pole the driver continued into a parked vehicle — and the parked vehicle, upon being struck, was pushed into the garage doors of a home on Flanders Road, police said.

No injuries were reported, police said.

The collisions did not result in a serious change in traffic patterns, police said. An investigation determined the incident to be non-criminal in nature; no charges were filed, police said.
