Zeldin: East End Needs New Zip Codes
The congressman has created an initiative to create new zip codes for three hamlets in the Town of Southampton.
Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-Shirley, will be hosting a conference with local elected officials on Wednesday to announce an initiative he has launched to create new zip codes on the East End.
The new zip codes would be in place in the hamlets of Flanders, Riverside, and Northampton in the Town of Southampton, which all share the same zip code, 11901, with the nearby Town of Riverhead, causing a number of issues in the local community.
The conference will be held at 10 a.m. at the Crohan Community Center on 655 Flanders Road (Route 24) in Southampton.
