It’s hard to miss the 19 foot tall, bright yellow and red sculpture that sits on Sagaponack farm field owned by Ken Schwenk.

But that’s exactly what local sculpturer Robert Mojeski intended when he installed the piece around Oct. 10.

“I built it to be seen and for people to enjoy it,” he said.

The Sag Harbor resident, who has been sculpting all his life, had been working on the massive sculpture known as “The Tipping Point XIX” for five months.

Mojeski has displayed his work in Guild Hall in East Hampton, entered his past work in the Hampton classic and has sold several pieces all over New England and Rhode Island, but this sculpture is his favorite out of all his pieces.

“I love the piece. It has to do with my fascination with motion,” he said. “I’ve built stationary pieces before, but I find them boring,”

Mojeski, who was a fisherman for 15 years, said “motion had stuck with him” and now he is working on another kinetic piece.

The sculpture will remain on Schwenk’s farm field for the time being and is open for purchasing if anybody is interested in buying it.
