Local Southampton History Comes Alive for Students
Southampton Town Historian Zach Studenroth visited with local elementary school students to teach local history lessons.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Southampton Town's historian took his lessons on the road recently.
Town Historian Zach Studenroth paid a visit to Westhampton Beach Elementary School students, who learned about local history as part of Southampton Town’s Traveling Museum project.
Throughout October, the traveling museum’s artifacts were on display in the foyer of the elementary school. Students learned about the various historical items from Studenroth, who spoke with each class.

“The students really enjoyed learning about the artifacts and the history of the area,” said Principal Lisa Slover.
