Local Opens Spa at Evolution Fitness
Esthetician and fitness facility owner join to deliver personalized beauty services.
There may be no better way to feel fresh-faced for the holidays than to take a little time out for some pampering.
To that end, Nicole Aldrich, an esthetician, and Jason Cofield, the owner of Evolution Fitness in Southampton Village, have partnered to launch in time for the season.
Aldrich, a Southampton local, said she has had a passion for skincare since she was a young girl. “I remember putting Noxzema on my face when I could barely see over the sink.”

A graduate from Gloria Francis School of Beauty in 2001, Aldrich practiced at various day spas in New York City and the Hamptons before founding her own spa company in 2009. “I had a great spa set-up in my home, but I was ready to grow.”
The partnership between Cofield and Aldrich seemed to be fate. Aldrich, having worked out of her home for a few years, was ready to develop a bigger presence in the community, and Cofield was looking to expand his business, which opened in May, by providing spa services.

Cofield explained, “One of the reasons I called this 'Evolution' is because I knew we would be evolving and adapting as we go. We always knew we were going to do a spa so it was in the back of my head to get it going, and then Nicole approached me.”
“We were both looking for something, so it turned out to be a great partnership,” Aldrich said.
“One of the things I really love about having Nicole here is that she is local, and we are building a family at Evolution,” Cofield said.
Services include makeup application, facials, waxing, and body treatments. Prior to beginning any service, Aldrich analyzes each client’s skin so that together the client and Nicole can determine which service is best suited for his or her skin. Client consultations also help determine if a client wants to focus on particular skin problems, or if the client would simply like a cleansing and relaxing experience.
“I have a lot of people that come in for specific issues, including teenagers, but there are also those that just want to relax,” Aldrich noted.
Hoping to eventually expand into a larger space on the second floor of Evolution Fitness, Aldrich said she appreciates that she is the sole provider of services at this time. “I don’t put a time limit on treatments, and I’ll do more depending on what the client needs. I’m not rushing it,” which Aldrich says makes her business unique.
Aldrich’s schedule is flexible. “If someone wants a facial at 9 o’clock at night, I love that. It’s the best way to end the day.”
If anything, Aldrich recommends a facial once per season to get a deep cleansing. “I want people to take care and pamper themselves,” she said.
Cofield and Aldrich plan to hold a grand opening party Jan. 13, but all of the services are available now, and are available for the holidays and beyond.
