Man Arrested On Warrant Faces Felony Charges: Police
He was arrested Saturday after failing to appear in court and was accused of stealing, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Central Islip man who was arrested Saturday on an outstanding bench warrant in Southampton is facing felony charges related to theft, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, Charlie Arevalo, 24, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. on the warrant, issued by Southampton Town Justice Court, for failing to appear for a scheduled court date. Arevalo was originally charged with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both felonies, police said. He was scheduled to make an appearance in court on August 29, which he failed to do, police said.
Arevalo was transported to Southampton Town police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment, police said.
