Man Caught Trespassing In A Riverside Business: Police

Someone caught him on the security camera, police say.

RIVERSIDE, NY — A man was arrested and charged with trespassing in Riverside Tuesday night, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, a 911 call came in at 9:45 pm. about an unknown male who could be seen on a security camera inside the closed business on Enterprise Zone Drive in Riverside.

Responding patrol units did a search of the building’s interior and found a Riverside man, 56, inside the building after it was closed, police said.

Jenkins was arrested at the scene and transported to Southampton Town police headquarters for processing; he was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, police said.

He was processed and then released on a field appearance ticket to return to Southampton Town Justice Court at a later date, police said.
