Man Caught Trespassing On Tuckahoe Commercial Property: Police
He impersonated a relative when questioned, police say.
TUCKAHOE, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested after he was caught trespassing on a commercial property in Tuckahoe Wednesday night, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, a call came in about 8:16 p.m. about an unknown male trespassing on a fenced-in commercial property on County Road 39.
Southampton Town Police Department patrol officers responded and located the man on the premises within a building under construction; the ensuing investigation revealed that he was trespassing and that he impersonated a relative of his in order to avoid police discovering two active bench warrants for his arrest, police said.

A Suffolk County Court bench warrant was issued on June 8 and a Southampton Village Court bench warrant was issued on July 26, police said.
Antonio Rojas-Leon, 23, was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters for processing, police said. Rojas-Leon was charged with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, and second-degree criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor, police said.

Rojas-Leon was issued appearance tickets with a future arraignment date, and was transferred into the custody of Suffolk County Police Department officers on their active bench warrant, police said.
