Man Charged With Burglarizing Speonk Business: Police

He's facing felony charges, police say.

SPEONK, NY — A Middle Island man was arrested early Sunday and charged with burglarizing a Speonk business, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, a 911 call came in at 2:01 a.m. from the owner of Speonk-Riverhead business who told them he saw two men on his security cameras in the midst of a burglary.

Multiple officers responded along with a New York State Police K-9 unit and found forced entry through a rear door, police said.

Michael Pearl, 28, was found inside, arrested, and charged with third-degree burglary, a felony; third-degree criminal mischief, a felony; and second-degree criminal mischief, a felony, police said.
