Man Charged With DWI After Easter Sunday Crash: Police

He also left the scene after the crash, police say.

FLANDERS, NY — A Flanders man was charged with driving while intoxicated after leaving the scene of a crash on Easter Sunday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, at 5:26 p.m., a call came in about a crash on Flanders Road in Flanders; the caller told police that after the collision, the driver left the scene, police said.

Officers located the vehicle and Ever GarciaLopez, 24, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and leaving the scene of a property damage crash, a traffic infraction, police said.

GarciaLopez was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
