Man Charged With DWI After North Sea Crash: Police
He tried to flee the scene, police say.
NORTH SEA, NY — A Southampton man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a two-car crash in North Sea Friday night, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the crash took place at 9:24 p.m. on Noyack Road in the area of Old Sag Harbor Road.
Luis F. Pena, 24, was heading south on Noyack Road before the crash with another vehicle, police said. Pena tried to leave the scene of the crash, which involved personal injury, police said.

Pena was arrested and transported to the Southampton Town Police Department headquarters for arrest processing and held to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court for morning arraignment, police said. He was charged with misdemeanor DWI, leaving the scene of a crash with injuries, and several violations of New York State vehicle and traffic law, police said.
