Man Charged With DWI After Running Red Light In 2-Car Crash: Police
He was arrested Saturday, police say.
RIVERSIDE, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a two-car crash in Riverside Saturday night, police said.
Freily N. Muzus-Luna, 23, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI, Southampton Town police said.
According to police, at about 10:17 p.m., a call came in about the crash, which took place in the vicinity of Center Drive South and Lake Avenue.

Patrol units responded and determined that the driver of one of the involved vehicles, operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated condition, disobeyed a red-light traffic signal and struck the other involved vehicle, police said.
Muzus-Luna and the driver of the other involved vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported by ambulance to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment, police said.

Muzus-Luna was issued a field appearance ticket directing him to appear in court at a future date to answer the charge, police said.
