Man Charged With DWI After Southampton Crash: Police

The man is facing a DWI charge, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Hampton Bays man was charged with drunk driving after a crash in Southampton, police said.

According to New York State Police, Alexis R. Rivera-Narvaez, 24, of Hampton Bays, was arrested on July 2 and charged with driving while intoxicated following the crash, at the intersection of Montauk Highway and North Road, in Southampton.

Rivera-Narvaez was transported to New York State Police barracks SP Riverside, provided a voluntary breath sample of .12 percent BAC, was processed without incident, and is due back at Southampton Town Justice Court on July 11, police said.
