Man Charged With DWI After Southampton Rollover Crash: Police
The crash took place Thursday night, police say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a Southampton rollover crash Thursday night, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the single-vehicle crash took place at about 8:26 p.m. on North Sea Rd by Raynor Road.
Jose Lopez-Hernandez, 39, from College Point, was found to have operated his motor vehicle while intoxicated; he was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for medical treatment, police said. He was released shortly after and transported to Southampton Town police headquarters for arrest processing, police said.

Lopez-Hernandez was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor DWI and held overnight to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court at morning arraignment, police said.
Southampton Town Police responded to the crash, along with the Southampton Fire Department and Southampton Volunteer Ambulance.
