Man Charged With DWI, Resisting Arrest, Fleeing Scene: Police
He turned himself in to police a few days later, authorities say.

WATER MILL, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and fleeing from an officer, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, on April 20 at 1:29 a.m., Oscar Kleber Valencia-Vega, 34, was seen heading west on Flying Point Road near Bowers Lane, failing to maintain his lane.
After a traffic stop, police determined he was intoxicated, authorities said. Valencia-Vega resisted arrest and fled, and authorities were initially unable to find him, police said.

On April 23, on the advice of his legal counsel, Valencia-Vega turned himself in at Southampton Town police headquarters, police said. He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI; second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, a misdemeanor; and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, police said. He was also issued summonses for traffic violations, police said.
Valencia-Vega was released on his own recognizance with a future arraignment date, police said.
