Man Charged With DWI In Sagaponack After Crashing Into Pole: Police

He was arrested Sunday night, police say.

SAGAPONACK, NY — A Seaford was arrested after he drove while intoxicated and crashed into a pole in Sagaponack Sunday night, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place at 9:12 p.m.; an officer on patrol saw Patrick T. Cicalese, 39, driving east on Montauk Highway when the vehicle left its lane and struck a pole at the intersection of Montauk Highway and Main Street in Sagaponack, police said.

No injuries were reported, police said.

Cicalese, 39, was arrested, charged with misdemeanor DWI, and transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and held for morning arraignment, authorities said.
