Man Charged With Speeding While Under Influence Of Drugs: Police
He was seen speeding on County Road 39, police say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Medford man was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of drugs after he was seen speeding on County Road 39 in Southampton Monday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, Christopher R. Reece, 29, was arrested at 2:04 p.m. after a community response unit officer saw him headed west on County Road 39 at a high rate of speed.
An ensuing traffic stop investigation revealed that Reece was operating his vehicle while impaired by marijuana, police said.

Reece was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the Influence of drugs — a felony due to a prior conviction for driving with .08 percent or more alcohol in blood — and issued a summons for speeding, police said.
Reece was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
