Man Choked Woman, Smashed Windshield, Tried To Run Her Over: Cops
Authorities were called to the scene of the domestic dispute twice in three days, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A man choked a woman, then broke her windshield and tried to run her over in Southampton, police said.
According to New York State Police, officers were dispatched on Friday at 10 a.m. to the Shinnecock Reservation for a reported domestic incident.
Neither the victim nor Carl Morgan, 51, were at the scene; the suspect’s vehicle was seen driving past the residence and after police stopped the vehicle, Morgan was taken into custody, police said.

The victim was located and she told authorities that on Wednesday she and Morgan had gotten into an argument and Morgan began to choke her, smashed her vehicle’s windshield, and, upon leaving the scene, almost ran her over with the car, police said.
New York State Police were dispatched to the Shinnecock Reservation Wednesday at 5:15 a.m. for the domestic dispute; the victim also said Morgan violated an order of protection and fled the scene, police said.

On Friday, another domestic dispute took place involving Morgan and when troopers arrived, they arrested him and charged Morgan with the criminal obstruction of breathing and second degree criminal contempt that took place on Wednesday; he was also charged with the offenses that took place on Friday, which included second degree harassment, fourth degree criminal mischief, criminal obstruction of breathing and reckless endangerment, police said.
He was arraigned in the Town of Southampton Justice Court and released on his own recognizance, police said.
