Local Man Found Dead On Beach: Cops
His death does not appear to be criminal in nature, police say.
QUOGUE, NY — A man was found dead on a Quogue beach Monday, police said.
According to Quogue Village Police, officers responding to a 911 call found the body of Leonard Lato, 62, of Quogue, on Monday at 1:03 p.m. on the ocean beach on Dune Road, close to the surf line.
His death does not appear to be criminal in nature; an autopsy will be conducted by the office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner to determine his cause of death, police said.
