Man Nabbed With 'Large Quantity' Of Heroin, Cocaine: Police

He was stopped for traffic violations and found with heroin and cocaine, police say.

EAST QUOGUE, NY — A Flanders man was caught with a large quantity of heroin and cocaine, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, members of the department's Police Community Response unit were conducting traffic enforcement in East Quogue on Sunday when an officer saw a Ford pickup truck with several traffic infractions.

Officers stopped the vehicle and found that Justin Adamo, 33, of County Road 104 in Flanders was in possession of the heroin and cocaine, police said.

Adamo was arrested and charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; as well as obstructed view, improper license plate, and improperly displayed license plate, all violations, police said.

"The Southampton Town Police Department is committed to keeping dangerous narcotics off the streets of our township," and ensuring that "we keep our communities safe for all to enjoy," police said.
