SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Suffolk County residents will be heading to the polls Tuesday to elect local representatives and make their voices heard.

Residents will weigh in on the race to represent one of the 18 legislative districts in Suffolk County, vote for Suffolk County District Attorney and Sheriff — and choose their local town elected officials.

In advance of the election, Patch asked candidates to answer questions about their campaign — and the results will be published as candidate profiles in the days leading up to the vote.

Shari Oster is running on the Democratic and Clean Water lines for one of two open seats for Southampton Town Justice. Oster is running alongside Democratic and Clean Water candidate Adam Grossman and facing off against Republican and Conservative candidates Patrick Gunn, running on the Republican and Conservative lines, and Barbara Wilson, running on the Republican, Conservative and Working Families lines.

To serve the town I’ve lived in for more than 20 years

Mainly worked doing litigation. For 22 years I worked for a NewYork State Agency under the Appellate Division.
