Meet The Winners Of The Hamptons Got Talent Competition

Aspiring young stars turned out to take the stage and showcase their talents.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Some aspiring young stars took the spotlight Friday, garnering top prizes in the 4th Annual Hamptons Got Talent Competition.

Sponsored by the Town of Southampton Youth Bureau, the competition was held on Friday at Hampton Bays High School.

Hampton Bays High School senior Juan Munoz, a singer and songwriter, came in first place, after performing an original acoustic song titled “Woken Up” and “Happier” by Ed Sheeran.

Sevenh grader Maya Teixeira of the Ross School sang “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys and “Natural Woman” by Aretha Franklin, placing second and taking home the People’s Choice Award.

Finally, seventh grader Nora Conlon, a singer and ukele player of the Springs School came in third and performed her own renditions of “From Eden” by Hozier and “All I Want” by Kodaline.

Each winner was presented with plaques, gift cards, and cash prizes.

Honorable mentions who went on to the second round were: Abigail Loos, a junior at the East Hampton Home School Group, Lindsay Dunn, a junior at of Hampton Bays High School, Jaeda Gant, eighth grade, and Akasha Gant, fifth grade, of the Bridgehampton School, and Emily Zukosky, sixth grade, of the Tuckahoe School.
